There are a number of professional support agencies that you can refer to or seek advice from.

Here are a few below (this is not an exclusive list)

Leeds City Council – Information on housing, activities etc.

Breeze Leeds -Website for children and young people looking for positive things to do.

Children’s Social Work Service – Offering statutory support to families, children and young people with a range of issues.

DWP – for benefits

BARCA – various opportunities including counselling (Reaching Out), targeted family support, youth support, young people drug and alcohol service.

CAMHS – Specialist assessment e.g. for ADHD, eating disorders, Autistic Spectrum Conditions as well as standard interventions e.g. parenting groups, individual therapy

Behind Closed Doors – works with both women and men throughout Leeds whose lives have been, or are affected by domestic abuse and violence.

MindMate Spa-Supporting Professionals who work with young people.

Citizens Advice Bureau – Offers advice on a number of issues.

Signpost – Support for families experiencing a range of difficulties in Leeds.

Platform – A service which helps young people (aged up to 18 years) to make an informed choice about their lifestyle and seek help regarding substance and alcohol use.

Genesis – Works with women involved in sex work to have the freedom and opportunity to be safe and make their own choices.

Youth Service – West North West – Offer a variety of activities including sports, arts and IT clubs. They have local centres and 5 Youth Hubs with excellent facilities. They work on the streets, in schools and from mobile provision, and we have drop-ins where you can talk about health, school, drugs or emotional issues.

Friday Night Project – A group for 13-19 year olds held at Pudsey Leisure Centre. The group offers you a chance to take part in a variety of different activities with your friends.

Pudsey Wellbeing Centre – A varied programme of activities and support services for all ages.

West Yorkshire Police – Offer support to ensure people are safe and feel safe across Leeds.

Willows Young Carers – A service for young people who are carers for other people.

MarketplaceOffers support, information and counselling for young people aged 13-25 in Leeds.

Women’s Aid – Our mission is to protect women and children in Leeds from the damage that domestic violence can inflict on their lives.

CEOP – Work with Children and young people at risk of child sexual exploitation in Leeds and how to report a concern.
